>> The employers are also not permitted to ask questions related to the race, ethnic origin, gender, religion, disability, age or sexual identity of the candidates at any time during the process of hiring in Germany, unless it is absolutely necessary. Doing so is considered to be a direct violation of the General Equal Treatment Act and hence are punishable by law.
